Welcome to the Marlborough Research Centre:


A purpose-built research facility serving the New Zealand wine industry in the heart of Sauvignon Blanc country.

Here in Marlborough our research facility operates in partnership with Plant & Food Research and New Zealand Winegrowers.

We are located in Blenheim, Marlborough is New Zealand's largest wine-making and grape-growing region.

The Research Centre is directed by a board of representatives from Plant & Food Research, NZ Wine industry, Lincoln and Auckland Universities and Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology.

Food Research, Auckland University and provides a venue to complete either the two-year Diploma in Viticulture or the three-year Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology degree course offered jointly by the NMIT and Lincoln University.
