A purpose-built research facility serving the New Zealand wine industry in the heart of Sauvignon Blanc country.

Here in Marlborough our research facility operates in partnership with Plant and Food Research (formerly HortResearch) and New Zealand Winegrowers..

We are located in Blenheim, Marlborough in New Zealand's largest wine-making and grape-growing region.

The Research Centre is directed by a board of representatives from Plant and Food Research, NZ Wine industry, Lincoln and Auckland Universities and Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology.

The Wine Research Centre offers research opportunities in conjunction with Plant and Food Research, Auckland University and provides a venue to complete either the two-year Diploma in Viticulture or the three-year Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology degree course offered jointly by the NMIT and Lincoln University.
