Laboratory Technician - Plant & Food Research

Background

Sharlene has completed her studies at Lincoln University and will be graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology.

Expertise

Sharlene’s role is based in the laboratory. She assists with all the analytical analyses that are being undertaken for the numerous projects. Sharlene is building on her knowledge gained while studying and learning new skills such as running the HPLC and CE machines.

Current Research

Analysing numerous grape precursors in order to see what the impacts are on wine aroma and colour as well as over all wine perception.
